The community is invited to Bellingen Swim Centre for a day of fun on Saturday from 10am to 2pm. It will be a great family outing with an inflatable climbing wall, a local musician Louey Howell and three-piece band Resist the Propaganda. In addition, food stalls from our local community and swim club will provide a tasty feast.

Centre coordinator of Bellingen Swim Centre Martin Burrows said the day is about community collaboration with local organisations coming together to make it a success.
“YMCA in partnership with the Bellingen Neighbourhood Centre and supported by Bellingen Shire Youth Services with funding from Sport and Recreation have all pulled together in true community spirit,” Martin said.
“I want to thank everyone involved - it is a great opportunity to come together as a community to celebrate the start of summer and have healthy and active fun.”
Bellingen Neighbourhood Centre manager Gordon Jacob said “Bellingen Neighbourhood Centre with the Bellingen Shire Youth Service is delighted to be involved with the event. It is great for the community to get together and enjoy the fabulous facility of the pool. Real asset for the community”
While being a fun day out, the event is also about promoting healthy and active living among the families and young people in Bellingen - a cause worthy of community collaboration and one which the YMCA and Bellingen Neighbourhood Centre will continue to promote with their services to the community.
