GOOD times were had by the 35 competitors during the 28th annual Bellingen Eel Fishing Championships. A total of 386kg of eels weighed-in and all these were released alive back into local rivers and creeks.

Many thanks to parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles who took the children fishing and brought them along to weigh in each day. Congratulations to all who competed and particularly trophy winners. Results are as follows:
