Friday marks the 99th anniversary of the landing of Australian and New Zealand soldiers on the beaches of Gallipoli and the Urunga RSL Sub-Branch will commence their commemorations with a Dawn Service to be held at the Cenotaph commencing at 6.30am.
After the dawn service, breakfast will be served at C.ex Urunga for those wishing to attend.
The march and wreath laying service will commence at 11 o’clock and marches are requested to assemble outside the Spar supermarket at 10.45. Those veterans who would like to participate in the march but are no longer able to march that distance please be at C.ex Urunga at 10.30 where transport has been arranged.
Families of those who served their country during wartime are welcome to join the march and wear their relatives medals on right chest.
An ANZAC Day lunch will be served at C.ex Urunga and is free for ex-service and serving members and War Widows. For families of veterans and any members of the public wishing to join us for lunch there is a cost of $24.50, with a discount to C.ex group members. For catering purposes please book your lunch tickets by close of business today. Bobby Howson will be providing entertainment during the lunch and again that evening from 5.30pm.

After the service has concluded, the main March will return to Church Street
Assemble: 8.45am (cnr. Church & William Sts)
March Begins: 9am
ALL WREATHS WILL BE PLACED AT THIS SERVICE
