The group, graduates from the Kansas State University rural leadership programme, visited Mark Perry's Bellingen dairy farm, where gained a better understanding of the methods and production of A2 milk.

The programme was designed to provide leadership training to promising leaders within the Kanas farming community. The participants come from a wide range of agricultural pursuits from farmers to bankers to research.

During their time in the area the group also visited Coffs Harbour, Urunga as well as the Bellingen township.

This tour was organised by Maggie Porter of Wanderweg Holidays, a long established Bellingen business that specialises in group and individual art and cycling tours to Europe.

"This is a new venture for Wanderweg. We are hoping this is just the start of many more special interest tours like this to the region," Ms Porter said.

Bellingen Shire mayor, Mr Mark Troy, was also optimistic that this type of tourism would greatly benefit the area.

"We are very pleased to have the Kansas group visiting our shire. It is a very good example of a local business working in the international market place," Mr Troy said.
