The Food Pantry marshalls cheap food supplies for pension and health card holders each Tuesday and Friday morning.
Although the Pantry buys in most of the groceries, an array of other people and groups have also regularly donated bread and vegetables to boost the range of foodstuffs on offer.
Special thanks (in alphabetical order) go to the Bellingen Bakery, Bellingen Green Grocer, Bellingen IGA, Bellingen Swisse Patisserie, Coffs Life House, Foodbank Australia, Hearthfire Bakery, Urunga Bakery & Woolworths Toormina with a most special thank you to Kelly Denham who oversees the lot.
Churchgoers from across the valley put on a special barbecue for patrons of the Pantry and its volunteer workers. Members of the Gathering, House of Hope and Anglican Churches combined to provide the feast to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
After a short break over the Christmas period, The Pantry reopened on Friday, January 10.
