The volunteers contribution was crucial to the event’s success, as was the support from the Bellingen community.
“It (the event) exceeded my expectations, the stage was astonishing; it was an entirely professional set up,” co-organiser Justin Brow told the Courier-Sun.
"The audience feedback was very positive and they sincerely valued the talks, the professionalism and the ideas that were presented.
“There were strong and attainable initiatives to progress the Shire into the future and the effort the speakers made to really develop their particular ideas was amazing,” Mr Brow said.
The stage set-up came in for particular mention.
“It was really special, thanks to John Considine and Tony Allison, it set a high benchmark for the rest of the day,” Mr Brow said.
"The talks themselves were nothing short of world standard".
Now, organisers have the job of editing the talks from the weekend, and these will be sent to TED to undergo a selection criteria that may see a number of the Bellingen presentations uploaded to the TED.com website that is viewed by people worldwide.
The videos will also be available for people to view them on the upcoming Bellingenuity website which will follow a social media format and encourage community networking and ideas and information sharing. It will focus on initiatives specific to Bellingen Shire.
“It will encourage further discussion to see these and other very strong initiatives realised,” Mr Brow said.
