The African – Australians have all settled in Coffs Harbour, having come here as refugees and bring the beauty and vibrancy of their traditional musical talents to Bellingen. Their music crosses the divide of language, connects hearts and invites everyone to get up and dance.
The South Sudanese Dance Group, Djembe Star and Togo Eweledzi will join Didjital from Kalang. Didjital fuse didgeridoo, Gumbaynggirr language, dynamic rhythms and smooth landscapes with respect for tradition. Didjital tells musical stories about country, culture and community in a contemporary landscape.
