Pictured with President Dorothy Boatfield are two of Urunga's most experienced bowlers who played the final of the Major Singles on Tuesday 8 June when Lilian Mann, a former club champion, met new member Ann Pilkington who transferred from Nambucca Heads recently. Both players put down some magnificent bowls and were neck and neck at 19 all when Ann forged ahead and won the match 31/21. Both players are to be congratulated on bowls that were worthy of the Club Championship.

The annual meeting will be held tomorrow commencing at 9.30am with a general meeting to follow. All bowlers are urged to attend as there are some vacancies yet to be filled and important matters to be discussed.

Now that the Camellia Carnival is over for another year and the club Triples well advanced it is time to be thinking about the Club Pairs with entries closing next Tuesday 22 June and play starting Tuesday 29 June.
