Diggers Tavern digs deep

16 Mar, 2010 07:22 AM
Local Futsal players, Maggie Mills, Kanisha Phillips-Cook and Robert Marshall, received a boost to their fundraising with a cheque from Ruth and Fred from Diggers Tavern this week. Along with Sam Jarrett, from Urunga, all players have been selected in the National Schools Futsal team to travel to Brazil for 18 days in May this year and are busy working and fundraising to pay their way. The generosity from many local charities and townsfolk of Bellingen has been overwhelming and this continues on Friday night the 16th at the Tavern where free giveaways are on offer to all patrons. So come along, bring some friends, have a feed and support local sport and business in Bellingen. All profits from the bar on the night go to support the three Bellingen players.
