15 May 12 | The BHS girls are through to round three of the Bill Turner Trophy following in the footsteps of the successful open girls. The Bill Turner Trophy is a knockout football competition for girls 15 years and younger run throughout the eastern states of Australia for both private and public schools.

15 May 12 | Raider’s Coach Tom Campbell’s dream of an entirely red headed team took a step toward fruition last weekend with the return of the ‘red fox’ aka Arlen Horton to the Raiders 1st graded lineup. He joins brother rangers Grant Homes, Tanjil Everett, Jacob Hughes and tinge ranger Adam Marks.

15 May 12 | Sunday was a fabulous day for Mothers Day and the weather was perfect for a great game of rugby league which took place at the Bellingen Oval from two sides who have started the season very well and looking to keep their momentum going in the first round.
North Beach win No 6 District Pennant
08 May 12 | Seems like Rink 2 was the lucky Rink last Tuesday with not only the winners and runners up being drawn from there but they also took out the Margin Jackpot. Winners of $20 each were Graham Johnston and Ian Machon with 'Big' Jim Brettschneider taking home $10 each.
Bellingen girls regain Zone Title
08 May 12 | After two years as runners-up to Woolgoolga HS Bellingen High School are again the number one Open Football team in the Mid North Coast Zone. They achieved this with knockout wins of 4-1 over Orara HS, 3-1 over Coffs Harbour HS and now 3-2 over Woolgoolga HS.
Urunga Raiders suffer from a lack of football
08 May 12 | The Raiders early season enforced wet weather/bye hiatus showed on the weekend going down 3-2 to an enthusiastic Ian Glover coached Sawtell Scorpions outfit. Yes the ‘Glover’ is back giving the Scorpions both left and right ventricle that they so sorely missed last season.
Magpies blow a big lead at Coffs
08 May 12 | Bellingen/Dorrigo Magpies travelled over to Coffs Harbour on Sunday to take on arch enemies Coffs Harbour Comets. The sun was out and it was a great day for rugby league and it started superbly with the Magpies racing to a 18 – 0 within the first 20 minutes of the game.
Urunga Hockey underway
01 May 12 | The weekend saw hockey start on Friday night, with the men’s B grade Storm taking on Beaches Squids. With a couple away at the masters over 50 state championships in Goulburn, and a few injuries, it was always going to be a tough ask. With only 8 players available, they stuck to the task but unfortunately ran out of legs to go down 5 nil.
Mapgies ‘ugly’ win over Axemen
01 May 12 | Saturday could not come quick enough for the Bellingen/Dorrigo Magpies after suffering their first defeat of the year against the much fancied Woolgoolga Seahorses the previous week. This time their opponents Orara Valley Axemen were looking for the first win of the season and were coming to the Graveyard to pinch the two points, and what a great effort they put up in a match marred by rain but finally won by the Magpies 24 – 12.

24 Apr 12 | Bellinger Valley North Beach SLSC Nippers held their presentation for the nippers on a glorious Saturday afternoon at North Beach.

24 Apr 12 | Under 11s: Bellingen Bulldog mania took over Burdett Park as the first match of the season for Under 11s was played.
24 Apr 12 | The Bellingen/Dorrigo Magpies travelled north up the highway on Sunday to take on the much fancied Woolgoolga Seahorses in a top of the table clash. On the day the Seahorses came away with the two points beating the Magpies 44 – 26 in a tough and very physical match.
17 Apr 12 | The Bellingen/Dorrigo Magpies travelled to Bowraville on Sunday to take on the Macksville Sea Eagles in the annual back to Bowraville Day which has been held for the past 2 years.
Bobcats claw the Raiders
17 Apr 12 | The Raiders copped a sucker punch to the gonads last weekend going down 3-1 to a resurgent Maclean Bobcats.

10 Apr 12 | C.ex Urunga member Fay McDonald has been named champion at the NSW Senior Women’s Championship title held last week at Coffs Harbour Golf Club.
Magpies too Good for the Panthers
10 Apr 12 | Good Friday was especially good for the Bellingen/Dorrigo Magpies as they came out victors against last year’s premiers Sawtell Panthers at the Graveyard. With a great crowd to witness this game, the Magpies demonstrated some great rugby league to finally finish 30 - 22 winners.
