 Traffic diversion at Marx Hill

Traffic diversion at Marx Hill

26 Jan, 2010 08:16 AM
Motorist are advised of a delay of up to 20 minutes after traffic is diverted on a new section of road on Waterfall Way at Marx Hill

The diversion will take place from Wednesday, January 20.

Traffic will be switched from the current route at the western end of the works to an adjacent two lane detour with a temporary speed limit of 40km per hour.

The work will improve road safety by removing two sharp bends in the road. The project will boost flood defences and widen the road on this one-kilometre section.

The work has also provided a cattle underpass and the area will keep its existing rest area.

Motorists are asked to comply with traffic control measures at this vicinity and to proceed with care through this worksite.

Be road work aware, slow down and take care, road work speed limits are enforceable.

The RTA asks motorists to be patient, and all attempts will be made to minimize the impact of this necessary work.

For traffic information phone 132 701.
